classic san francisco wedding at julia morgan ballroom : abbey + paul

I came down from a spate of mountain weddings for a classically beautiful San Francisco city wedding. Abbey and Paul are my friends and I will reiterate again how amazing it is to photograph the wedding of friends. There is a certain je nai sais quoi about knowing your clients on a more intimate level and knowing a bit more about the history of who they are. Abbey even found a moment to talk to me about our current book selection for book club. Not to mention how fun it was to turn to the audience at the church and see so many familiar faces, including two couples who are former clients.

A few years back when I was photographing Dana’s wedding, Abbey commented that someday I would photograph hers and I immediately thought, oooooooo, she’s going to be such a beautiful bride. She did not disappoint. Paul — the veil was worth it.:)

Special thanks to Edyta Szyszlo for being my right hand woman and contributing some of the photos below.

A rare photo of me at a wedding. Two of these lovely ladies are my former brides! And friends, of course.
