A Marin Wedding At The SF Theological Seminary: Jamie + Benny

Here is part one of a gorgeous wedding at the San Francisco Theological Seminary in Marin. One of my favorite weddings, not just because of the beautiful bride + groom, incredible details, and spectacular location, but really because of the obvious connection these two had with all of their friends + family and with each other. You may remember them from their engagement session.

Ceremony + reception location: San Francisco Theological Seminary
Invitations, programs, table books, other details: Jessica Stock, sister of the bride.
Bride’s dress: Anne Barge
Caterer: Ann Walker
Cake designer: Branching Out Cakes
DJ: DJ Matteo
Officiant: Peadar Dalton
Florist: Local Flora
Makeup: Chris Scott of Makeup Gourmet
Hair: Beauty by Smith

Jessica, Jamie’s sister and BFF, made these beautiful watercolor designs that reflected on Benny’s Indian culture. These watercolor designs were then used to create invitations, programs, signs and table books. Jessica also made the ring bearer books. As a professor of literature at San Francisco State University, Jamie is well-read and obsessed with books. Jessica made a cutout inside the pages of a Shakespeare novel for the ring bearers to carry. I love how they tied in aspects of their combined interests and culture.

They obliged and I think the Shaw Guest House worked so well. Jamie was the bride that we all hope to be. It’s easy to look at the photos and say that this is all purely physical – she is simply stunning – but it was so much more than that. Happy, excited, artistic, detail-oriented, and heartfelt, she was also incredibly laid back, made time to connect with those around her, rolled with the punches, and left the finishing touches of all the details to others.
Below we have her bridesmaids picking out little hay sticklers in her dress after a  pre-ceremony dance session in the fields left them embedded everywhere in her dress. She’s laughing.
