I jumped at the chance to shoot Christine and Richard’s colorful Vietnamese and western wedding with the ever talented Noah Hawthorne. He brought along a two-person videography team which will result in a stills and motion “fusion” project that I can’t wait to see. It truly was a gorgeous, cultural mix of cultures and traditions. At the end of the day there was a four person media team with an unbelievable amount of gear, four different dresses worn by the bride, five locations, two hosted meals, and a very fun and loving couple who managed to stay calm and smile for 14 hours straight.
First stop was at Christine’s parents’ house to get dressed in a traditional Vietnamese wedding outfit:
Firecrackers to ward off unfriendly spirits, followed by a tea ceremony at the bride’s parents’ house:
I love the way Richard is stealing quick glance at Christine:
Then it was time to move to the groom’s parents’ house for another tea ceremony:
Next it was time to change into a wedding gown for the Western ceremony:

Andi!!
