A sweet backyard wedding in Inverness where nearly everything was DIY by family and friends. Bini made her own truly beautiful dress which was so perfect hanging up in the cabin in the woods. Seriously, can you imagine making your own wedding dress? I wish I had those skills! This private house in Inverness has a little cabin on stilts in the back that was built by hand by one of my other clients, Doug, when he was a teenager. The bride’s sister lent her culinary skills and baked her sister’s wedding cake. I love the simplicity of backyard weddings and the community effort generally associated with something like this and how it all boils down to what really matters.
