Yael’s grandparents were first married when life was a little different in Europe and they never had an official Jewish ceremony. A few hours before Yael and Jeremy’s wedding ceremony, they renewed their vows. It was simply amazing to see them look into each other’s eyes sixty odd years later, with trembling hands, a few shed tears, holding hands the whole time. I hope that all of my wedding couples – and my husband and I too – will be able to stand together at our grandchildren’s weddings, still holding hands and still in love.
Mazeltov!
